Eclipse Select has big day


The Eclipse Select Soccer Club's Elite Clubs National League teams earned three victories in four games against Sockers FC on Sunday in Naperville, Ill.

The Eclipse Select U-16 ECNL team had the most decisive victory at 4-0, with Maya Neal (Naperville, Ill.) scoring three goals and assisting the other tally. The team improves to 7-0-0 on the year.

The Eclipse Select U-17 ECNL squad won, 1-0, with Meghan Sadera (Winnetka, Ill.) providing the lone goal off of an Alexa Ben (Schaumburg, Ill.) assist. The Eclipse Select U-18s blanked Sockers FC, 3-0, in ECNL play with Taylor Schissler (New Lenox, Ill.) scoring a goal and assisting a Lauren Sajewich (Frankfort, Ill.) diving header goal. Michelle Mottonen (South Barrington, Ill.) also provided a goal.

Zoe Redei (Highland Park, Ill.) scored a goal off of a Cassie Rohan (Palatine, Ill.) assist as the Eclipse Select U-15 ECNL team fell, 2-1, to Sockers FC.

The Eclipse Select U-14 ECNL team posted a 1-1-1 weekend at Sportscore 1 in Rockford. The U-14s defeated the Dallas Sting, 2-1, on Sunday. Eclipse Select also played the Colorado Rush to a 3-3 draw and came up a little short against FC Dallas, 3-2, on Saturday.

Min the Midwest Regional League, the Eclipse Select U-15 USYSA I team played to a 1-1 draw against RSC White Lightning on Saturday but fell, 2-1, to Michigan Jaguars Green on Sunday in Midwest Regional League action in Zionsville, Ind. Eclipse Select (3-2-1, 10 points) is tied for second place in points in the Girls U-15 Premier Division alongside WAZA FC East Black and Michigan Jaguars Green. FC United Select is atop the division with 15 points.
