U.S. National Team

March 13, 2015
Face Jamaica on Sunday

The U.S. Under-17 Men's National Team will play Jamaica in a playoff match on Sunday, March 15, at 7 p.m. ET at the 2015 CONCACAF U-17 Championship for a chance to earn a berth to the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Following the completion of group stage, the four teams that finished second and third in their respective groups were reseeded and will now need a playoff win to secure the last two CONCACAF spots in the U-17 World Cup. Honduras, winners of the USA's group, and Mexico, who will play for the tournament championship on Sunday following the U.S.-Jamaica game, have already clinched berths in the World Cup field.

The four teams advancing to the playoffs are Canada, Costa Rica, Jamaica and the United States. Costa Rica and Canada will play in the first game of the tripleheader; all three games will be played at the Estadio Francisco Morazan in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.

The United States finds itself in this win-or-go-home situation by way of a 1-0 loss to Jamaica on Wednesday, March 11. The Jamaican goal came on a penalty shot, after a hand ball call on an American defender, late in the second half.

The 2015 FIFA Under-17 World Cup will be played in Chile Oct.17-Nov. 8.
