USWNT's Lloyd, Solo, Johnston, Klingenberg named to 11-player world all-star team

Four United States players were named to the first Women's World XI team, FIFPro announced Thursday.

U.S. captain and midfielder Carli Lloyd, the 2015 FIFA Women's World Player of the Year, goalkeeper Hope Solo and defenders Julie Johnston and Meghan Klingenberg were the American players from 2015 the Women's World Cup champions that were named to the 11-player side.

The world all-star team is selected by players from around the world by FIFPro, a global union for soccer players.

Goalkeeper: Hope Solo (USA, Seattle Reign FC)

Defenders: Wendie Renard (France, Lyon), Meghan Klingenberg (USA, Houston Dash), Kadeisha Buchanan (Canada, West Virgina Mountaineers), Julie Johnston (USA, Chicago Red Stars)

Midfielders: Carli Lloyd (USA, Houston Dash), Amandine Henry (France, Lyon), Aya Miyama (Japan, Okoyama Yunogo Belle)

Forwards: Celia Sasic (Germany, 1.FFC Frankfurt), Eugenie Le Sommer (France, Lyon), Anja Mittag (Germany, PSG)
