HAVANA -- The U.S. took a 2-0 win over Cuba at Estadio Pedro Marrero Friday, the national teamís first visit to the country for a friendly match in 69 years.

Chris Wondolowski (62nd minute) and Julian Green (71st) scored as the U.S. improved to 10-1-1 against the Cubans, the only loss a 5-2 decision in a 1947 match in Havana.

The U.S. dominated, putting eight shots on goal, the back line often putting Cuba's forwards in an offside position. Ethan Horvath, 21, made three saves in his international debut, the youngest starting goalkeeper for the U.S. since Zach Thornton in a 3-0 win over Trinidad & Tobago Nov. 22, 1994.

The U.S. broke through as Wondolowski, who replaced Christian Pulisic after halftime, converted the rebound of a Green shot, finishing from point-blank range after a Sandy Sanchez save.

Green scored his second international goal, and first since an extra time score in a 2-1 loss to Belgium in the 2014 World Cup. The scoring sequence began as Timmy Chandler sent a lofted ball from near the halfway line for Wondolowski, who carried to the end line, then found Green making a run to the back, left post.

U.S. captain Michael Bradley made his 123rd appearance, tying him with DaMarcus Beasley for sixth on the teamís all-time caps list. Bradley started in central midfield along with Sacha Kljestan, the same partnership the USA utilized in the last visit to Cuba, a 1-0 World Cup Qualifying victory Sept. 6, 2008. Bradley and Kljestan are the only players on the roster who played in that match.
