USMNT to play 7 friendlies before Gold Cup
CARSON, Calif. -- Before the United States participates in the CONCACAF Gold Cup next summer, the national team will have a heavy schedule with seven games from January through June, U.S. Soccer president Sunil Gulati revealed at a media roundtable that was held after MLS Cup at the StubHub Center Sunday night.

RECIFE, Brazil – The United States lost the battle on Thursday, but will get another opportunity to win another battle in the war. The USA dropped a 1-0 decision to Germany in its final Group G match Thursday in front of 41,876 at Arena Pernambuco, but qualified for the Round of 16 anyway by goal differential over Portugal, 2-1 winners over Ghana also on Thursday.
