Fire sign forward Sherjill MacDonald

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. – The Chicago Fire has brought in another designated player, signing forward Dutch forward Sherjill MacDonald.

MacDonald will be added to the Fire’s roster as a DP. In order to clear an international roster spot, the team is loaning forward Federico Puppo to Uruguayan side Defensor Sporting Club. The 25-year-old Uruguayan striker will join Defensor Sporting Club immediately. Puppo also occuped on DP slot on the Fire.

MacDonald, began training with the team Tuesday at the Toyota Park practice field.
