Match Day 2 roundup

MONTERREY 1, PUEBLA 1
Luis Rey scored in the 90th minute to lift Puebla into a 1-1 tie with Monterrey in a long-delayed Jornada 2 match Friday at Estadio BBVA Bancomer.

The Rayados led 1-0 at halftime after Rogelio Funes Mori scored on a 45th-minute breakaway. Monterrey rookie goalkeeper Edson Resendez appeared to be on his way to a shutout in his LigaMX debut, but was finally beaten by Rey after a pinpoint service from substitute Ezequiel Rescaldani.

The draw leaves Puebla sixth in the standings at 6-1-5 and 19 points. Monterrey are in ninth place at 4-4-4 (16).
