COLUMBUS CREW 2, TORONTO FC 1
COLUMBUS, Ohio---Federico Higuaín scored both goals, giving the Columbus Crew a 2-1 win over Toronto FC at Columbus Crew Stadium on Sunday.
Higuain gave the crew the lead in the 17th minute, running onto a ball that deflected off a Toronto defender, switching feet and then sending a left footed shot under Reds goalkeeper Freddy Hall and just inside the right post.
Ten minutes later, Toronto’s Andrew Wiedeman got a ball over the top from Ryan Johnson, beat a defender and sent a shot that caromed off the left goalpost into the net.
Higuain scored the game winner in the 62nd minute after drawing a penalty kick and then putting it away.
Columbus finishes the season at 15-12-7 with 52 points. Toronto concludes with the worst record in MLS at 5-21-8 and 23 points, and on Sunday set a new franchise record with their 14th straight game without a win.
CHIVAS USA 2, FC DALLAS 2
FRISCO, Texas—FC Dallas had the better of Chivas USA for 89 minutes on Sunday night, but the Goats owned the final ticks of the clock and came away with a 2-2 draw as the two teams closed out their disappointing MLS seasons at FC Dallas Stadium.
The Hoops got on the board in the 73rd minute, when Jackson ran onto an artful pass from David Ferreira and used his knee to chip the ball over goalkeeper Tim Melia, who was making only his second-ever MLS start.
Fabian Castillo scored on a breakaway goal that left the Hoops up 2-0.
By the 90th minute, it looked like Dallas would send their fans home happy, but Chivas had other ideas. Ben Zemanski tapped the ball with the outside of his right foot to Laurent Courtois, who made it a one-goal game with a sharp, low shot past Dallas netminder Kevin Hartman. Four minutes later, Chivas tied it up on an end to end play that finished with Laurent Courtois, who was just outside the six-yard box and poked a centering ball to Juan Agudelo for the close-range finish.
Dallas ends the season at 9-13-12 (39 pts), while Chivas, last in the West, ends the season at 7-18-9, 30 pts.

LOS ANGELES GALAXY 1, SEATTLE SOUNDERS FC 0
CARSON, Calif.- Substitute Mike Magee found the net in the 83rd minute to give the LA Galaxy a 1-0 win over the Seattle Sounders at the Home Depot Center Sunday.
Magee, who entered the game in the 75th minute for Edson Buddle, again played the role of super sub for the Galaxy. Playing a one-touch combination with Keane, Magee struck a left-footed shot from the top of the penalty arc that went into the lower left corner of the net. It was his fifth goal of the season.
The game didn't have much meaning for the Galaxy, other than it was the first win this season against the Sounders in three tries. Los Angeles finishes the regular season with a 16-12-6 record and 54 points. What the game did do was prevent Seattle from leapfrogging Real Salt Lake into second place in the west. The Sounders end the regular season with a 15-7-11 record for 56 points, one behind RSL.
The Galaxy open the MLS playoffs in the knockout round, hosting the Vancouver Whitecaps at the HDC on Thursday, November 1.
