MEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK
UIC’s Goran Ikic

UIC goalkeeper Goran Ikic has been named the Chicagoland Soccer News Men's College Player of the Week for the week ending September 30.

Ikic posted back-to-back shutouts as the Flames won two games over the weekend, extending their unbeaten streak to five games.

On Thursday, the redshirt freshman earned his first career shutout in his first career start, making four saves against SIU-Edwardsville in a 1-0 win.

In Sunday’s 1-0 win over Valparaiso, Ikic made four saves as the Crusaders outshot the Flames 12-9.

The weekend's clean sheets marked the first time since October 2010 the Flames recorded back-to-back shutouts.
