Loyola knocked off in NCAA tourney by Notre Dame

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- The Loyola Ramblers surrendered a late goal in falling, 1-0, to Notre Dame in the second round of the NCAA Menís Championship at Alumni Stadium Sunday night.

The Ramblers (14-4-1) were outshot, 15-6, Elliot Collier producing their only shot on goal, a week after they registered their first-ever victory in the tournament.

Jon Gallagher scored off a Mark Gormley feed in the 78th minute, his 13th goal of the season, as the Fighting Irish improved to 15-3-2 all-time against the Ramblers in the teamsí first meeting since the 2004 season.
