Hoosier women's team adds Bethany Kopel, eight others
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The Indiana Hoosiers women's team announced eight players have signed letters of intent, joining Bethany Kopel, who graduated early and is currently enrolled. The signees include Hanna Nemeth, who has earned one cap with Hungary's national team.
"This class is an extremely talented and dynamic group," IU coach Amy Berbary said Wednesday. "We have a number of different positions and styles of play coming in to our already established framework. Not only are these players talented on the field, they all bring an extreme work ethic and dedication to the classroom, which is something that is an absolute must to join this program. We're really looking forward to seeing what these new Hoosiers can bring to the table.
"Our staff is committed to finding the best players within our region, as well as nationally and internationally. I believe with this class, spread from coast to coast and around the world, we have done just that. In doing so, the different cultures, personalities and styles of play will help our team continue to compete towards a Big Ten Championship, as well as reaching the NCAA Tournament."
