On Friday night, Tejada assisted on the first goal, then scored the game-winner in the Redbirds' 2-1 win over Bowling Green.
In the 51st minute, Tejada drew two defenders as well as goalkeeper Jenna Underwood, allowing her to slide it over to a wide-open Kyla Cross. The assist was Tejada’s second of the season.
In the 69th minute, Tejada put the Redbirds up 2-0 with her Missouri Valley Conference-leading 10th goal of 2012. Aimee Wronski played a ball to Tejada, who dribbled to the top right corner of the penalty area before launching a shot by the outstretched arms of Underwood.
On Sunday, Tejada set up Sarah Mussallem for the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win over Toledo. Tejada drew two defenders before passing it to Mussallem on the right, who had space to cut toward the box and fire a shot by Toledo keeper Sam Tiongson.
