NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State has hired Jim Schneiderhahn as the new assistant coach. Prior to joining the staff at ISU, Schneiderhahn served as the head coach at Division II Emporia State University for five seasons.

Five from Illinois State pick up MVC awards
OMAHA, Neb. – Five Illinois State soccer players were honored at the annual Missouri Valley Conference awards banquet held Thursday evening . Juniors Jessica Carlson and Natalie McCabe were selected to the All-Valley First Team, senior Alyssa Schulz received All-Valley Second Team accolades and freshmen Allie Newsom and Anna Stinson were named to the MVC All-Freshman Team in addition to earning All-Valley Honorable Mention nods.

NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State soccer team advanced to the semifinals of the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tournament with a 2-1 double-overtime victory over Indiana State Sunday afternoon at Adelaide Street Field. Junior Mary Sahm scored both goals for the Redbirds, including the game-winner with just less than four minutes remaining in the second extra period.
