DePaul men fall in Big East quarterfinals


VILLANOVA, Pa. -- The DePaul menís team dropped a penalty kicks decision to Villanova after playing the Wildcats to a 0-0 draw in the quarterfinals of the Big East Conference tournament at the Higgins Soccer Complex Sunday.

Quentin Low (six saves) stopped the Wildcatsí opening attempt, but the Blue Demons (9-7-3) were defeated in penalty kicks, 3-1. Villanova (10-6-3) outshot DePaul, 23-14, the Blue Demons threatening in the 83rd minute as a Jake Scheper header hit the post off a Simon Megally cross and a Kevin Beyer shot from distance hit the bar.
